Cape Town, "the mother city" is incredibly beautiful. The magnificent backdrop of Table Mountain, with the city stretching along its lower slopes in particularly alluring. Cape Town offers an enormous array of activities.
In the city centre you will find modern sky scrapers rubbing shoulders with old Dutch, British and Cape Malay architecture. Just a ferry ride away is Robben Island and the former prison cell which held Nelson Mandela during the apartheid years.
Adderly Street is home to the Houses of Parliament. Here at the Visitor's Gallery you can observe the Members of Parliament debating the issue of the day. The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is a must for any visitor to Cape Town. Here you will find cafes, restaurants, markets, bars, cinemas, a Maritime Museum and many other places of interest.
The beaches are pristine and spectacular! From Muizenberg to Milnerton - all offer breathtaking views.
Do not miss a sightseeing trip around the Cape Peninsula, from the sandy beach of Muizenberg, through Simons Town, South Africa's naval base, to Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African Penguins. Cape Point with it magnificent views and Hout Bay with it gorgeous backdrop of Chapman's Peak, fishing harbour and sandy beach all make Cape Town a "must visit".
And don't forget the wine! A trip through the winelands is worth the journey alone. The area is famed for it wine estates, from Spier, to Boschendal, Nederberg and Meerlust, all are worth a visit.
