Chobe Game Lodge

The dramatic Moorish styled Chobe Game Lodge is situated on the banks of the Chobe River, in the remote and unspoilt northern extremity of Chobe National Park. Approximately 90km (55.9 miles) west of Victoria Falls, the Chobe Game lodge offers every luxury and comfort for your vacation.

The only permanent game lodge situated within the Chobe National Park, Chobe Game Lodge is Botswana's premier venue for guests looking for a perfect base to explore the Chobe National Park.

All rooms at the lodge are river facingAll 46 rooms at the lodge are river facing and are air conditioned with overhead fans, complimentary mini bar and en-suite bathrooms, each with tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms are tastefully furnished and have their own private terrace. Each room, cooled by overhead punkah-punkah fans, is decorated with hand crafted Rhodesian teak furniture and original African carvings and paintings. For those guests who demand the ultimate in exclusivity, Chobe Game Lodge has four river view suites, each with their own plunge pool and a separate lounge area.

The Lodge can accommodate up to 100 guests in total luxury.

Other facilities include a large swimming pool with a terrace, a riverside boma area where traditional dancers perform, a fully equipped conference room, a business centre, a stylish bar with an outside terrace overlooking the Chobe River and a cigar bar with a full sized billiard table. There are 2 restaurants: The Table d'Hote Restaurant offers a range of International and local dishes, the Buffet offers an impressive choice of barbeque meats, salads and range of dishes. The superb international cuisine, with a taint of African flavour, is served on the terrace overlooking the Chobe River.

Chobe National Park covers 11 700 square km's of pristine wilderness, ranging from the verdant flood grassland and thickets beside the Chobe River, to forest, mopane woodland and scrub.
The wildlife roams in profusion and diversity. During the dry season, the herds migrate north and congregate along the fertile flood plains of the perennial Chobe River. Sightings of lion, white rhino, wild dog, sable and roan antelope will add to the excitement of your Botswana safari.
Adventure in sunrise and sunset cruises on small boats piloted by expert boatmen or board the Mosi-oa-Tunya allow you to view the spectacular wildlife and vistas. Game drives are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles ensuring maximum visibility. Your resident professional guides offer slide shows, star gazing presentations, garden and river walks as well as walking safaris in the nearby Kasane forests.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. Children under the age of 8 years are excluded from participating in game drives.
