Western Cape

The Western Cape boasts incredible scenic beauty and a year-round moderate climate. From the attractive fishing villages of the West Coast and the arid areas covered in carpets of beautiful flowers between August and October, to the winelands and spectacular coastline of the Garden Route, the Western Cape has it all.

Surrounded by the Outeniqua, Tsitsikamma and Langeberg mountains, Storm's River and Mossel Bay, the Garden Route holds a great fascination for visitors. Between August to September/October the landscape is transformed by the masses of spectacular wild flowers. The sea-side villages are home to a variety of accommodation, restaurants and activities.

The Cape Winelands with its historic homesteads offer breathtaking scenery, hiking trails and rock paintings dating back 7 000 years. The restaurants are some of the best and of course the fine wines must be tasted!
