Floréal House

Floréal House is nestled below Table Mountain and offers spectacular views of the mountain, the Harbour and Table Bay. This magnificent, well-known building, dating back to the 1920’s, is exceptionally stylish with impressive white exterior and attractive wooden-framed windows, which look out over the views in all directions.

Conveniently situated in Oranjezicht, away from the urban bustle and noise, the lodge has easy access to the Waterfront, the mountain and the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton offering the comfort of a small hotel within a stone’s throw of the heart of Cape Town. Oranjezicht is open and safe, with many attractive buildings and huge, open parks.

Floréal House offers all the services you would expect of a 4-star hotel. All the rooms have been individually decorated and are fitted with fans and heaters, tea/coffee making facilities and en-suite bath and/or shower. Each room has a television and a mini-bar and the interiors are classic and unfussy, with polished pine floors and newly-refurbished curtains and linens. The nine rooms are extremely well-appointed, with spacious and classy tiled en-suite bathrooms.

The colourful gardens are home to plentiful birds and squirrels and the pool provides the perfect place to while away the hours on a sun-bed with an iced drink and a view over the city and the bay to Bloubergstrand and the Hottentots-Hollands Mountains in the North.

A sumptuous, full English breakfast is served every morning in the dining room or around the pool in the garden - an impressive array of fresh fruits, cold meats, cheeses and smoked salmon, as well as a range of cooked breakfasts is offered. A light meals menu is available all day and dinner is available on request. There is a wide range of excellent restaurants nearby and transfers to and from these establishments can be arranged.
