Gomo Gomo Game Lodge

Gomo Gomo Game Lodge, situated in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, is a unique and private getaway. This intimate camp is built on the banks of the Nhlaralumi River in one of South Africa's most pristine and unspoilt reserves, known for its excellent game viewing and diverse habitats. With a common unfenced boarder the Timbavati forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park, an area comprising of more than 2.2 million hectares of untamed bushveld.

Shaded by age old Jackalberry and Weeping Boerbean Trees, the camp comprises of five fully furnished, thatched chalets and four East African style luxury tents built in a traditional style and all with en-suite facilities. Each chalet and tent is tastefully decorated and furnished with the emphasis on outstanding comfort. Electricity is supplied to both the chalets and tents allowing for bedside lamps fans and power points through out.

Central facilities include a massive viewing deck and splash pool, shaded by an age old Leadwood tree, offering a 180-degree view of the river. Breakfast and lunch are served on the deck in an open thatched-roofed lapa overlooking the river, while dinner is served in traditional African style around a log fire in one of the two bomas. The cuisine is a combination of African and Western influences with the focus on exceptional quality.

Your private safari at Gomo Gomo allows access to over 12,000 hectares of the finest big game country, with lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo thriving alongside giraffe, zebra and a variety of antelope. Bird watching is wonderful, with various eagles, owls, francolins, kingfishers, rollers and weavers among the over 300 recorded species. Game drives are conducted by experienced rangers and Shangaan trackers in open 4X4 vehicles, with excellent photographic opportunities.

Guided bush walks provide an insight into nature's finer details and the chance to track game on-foot.
