Hamilton Parks Country Lodge

Hamilton Parks Country Lodge is a comfortable 14 room country hotel set in a magnificent 250ha estate, consisting of pristine indigenous bush near Hazyview in the Mpumalanga Lowveld.

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff and excellent food combine to make Hamilton Parks the perfect stopover. Only 20 minutes from the Kruger National Park, the lodge offers easy access to game reserves and the scenic wonders of the Blyde River Canyon and the Great Escarpment.

The gracious thatched homestead is set in magnificent gardens and offers outstanding bird-watching and sightings of various animal species such as monkeys, bushpig, porcupine, bushbuck, grey duiker and the very rare red duiker.

The hotel accommodation consists of just 14 en-suite rooms. The well appointed, comfortable rooms offer a choice of double or twin beds and come with cooling ceiling fans, biscuits, chocolates and up-to-date local and international magazines. The spacious bathrooms offer shower and bath and a full range of amenities. Each room has a private entrance and verandah and looks out over the colourful gardens. The rooms are cool in summer and warm in winter. Most of the rooms have fireplaces while all the rooms have safes and mini bars.

Take a refreshing swim in the sparkling pool set close to main hotel and bar, in the lush, extensive gardens, or expend a little energy on a walk along one of the trails on the estate. For those interested in bird watching, a bird list is available to take along on your walk. Horse-riding is also available on the property.

The fully licensed restaurant seats a maximum of 30 guests and offers a full English breakfast, an À la carte lunch & dinner as well as light meals throughout the day. The staff will, at your request, pack a tasty picnic basket to take along on your expeditions and explorations!

Hazyview gives visitors the opportunity to undertake in various adrenalin-pumping activities including white-water rafting on the Sabie river, tubing, kloofing, hot air ballooning, microlight flights, helicopter flips and abseiling to name just a few. For the golf enthusiast the area has three excellent gold courses close by, namely the Sabie River Country Club, a course at the Kruger Park Lodge as well as one at the Skukuza Golf Course in the Kruger National Park.
