Terms & Conditions

Reservation Policy

• On confirmation of the booking the customer shall pay Rare Earth Tours a deposit of 20% of the total price. The balance owing on the invoice must be paid 6 (six) weeks prior to departure.
• In the event of any reservation being completed less than 30 (thirty) days prior to departure, the total price is due immediately on confirmation and is non-refundable.
• We reserve the right to cancel any reservation for which payment has not been made by due date in which event, any deposit paid will be forfeited to Rare Earth Tours.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellation must be made in writing and in such instances cancellation charges will be levied as follows:
  60 days – 45 days prior to departure: 20% of total price
  44 days – 30 days prior to departure: 25% of total price
  29 days – 22 days prior to departure: 50% of total price
  21 days – 15 days prior to departure: 70% of total price
  14 days or less prior to departure: 100% of total price
• No refunds will be made for no-shows, or any unused services.

For Rovos Rail and the Blue Train the following cancellation policy will apply:

• 8 weeks prior to departure - 20% (non-refundable) deposit.
• less than eight weeks prior to departure - 100% of the safari price.
